Daily Journals

This page features the daily journals I have kept throughout this project. Each one, here, is the typed version of what I originally wrote that day. I have also included some keywords at the bottom of each entry, so you can easily see what they mention as well as what I often talked about in my journals. You can see these keywords by clicking on the journal entry.

While driving home, I saw a girl at the stop light dancing and singing to her music. She was wearing sunglasses with bright blue lenses and seemed so in the moment and joyful.

Today was a lot. On one hand, I started getting feedback on my video today and it was a hard hit to my confidence. That was tough and it's only the beginning so that's rough. On the other hand, I got a paper back today with only one sentence correction and a note asking if my professor could use my paper as a sample for class! That was amazing and made me feel great! I also did a 90s dance workout tonight which was a lot of fun! I currently have a couple hours until Riley gets home, but I'm not sure what to do.

Small update... I found a couple movies I hadn't seen yet that looked lighthearted and decided to watch those. I wanted a nice break where I could relax but also feel good relaxing.

Yesterday I ended up watching a movie and spending time just relaxing. I almost wish I would have done more, but I also think I needed a break. Today, I made good progress on homework then came home and tried a new recipe. It was a sausage pasta skillet thing and it wasn't bad but not amazing. It was still a lot of fun though! Then Riley and I did an Encanto themed Zumba video which was fun. I'm really excited for this weekend because Riley and I are trying a new recipe, doing a Valentine's sort of day on Saturday, and then going all out with food for the Super Bowl. I'm pumped and I hope I can try a few new things as well.

I feel very proud of myself for not using my phone as a distraction. It's definitely been a process and at the beginning, I found myself quickly replacing social media with other apps. This was an easy way for me to scroll. I've realized that lately I have been doing a lot better with just putting my phone down and being present in the moment, going back to homework, or doing something different.

7:30 pm

Tonight was a lot of fun! Riley and I tried a new recipe together which was fun. Then I did my Zumba, and we are currently getting set up to watch a movie and relax.
