Today has been a lot but also a lot of fun! Riley and I drove to Casper after I met with my advisor. The website is a go! The roads were not so great. They were scary but not too bad. Then my mom, my brother's girlfriend, and I took my brother to get his ears pierced for his birthday. Then we all hung out at my dad's house and did a big birthday dinner. My dad's famous Hawaiian ribeyes were amazing alongside crab legs that my mom made. My dad also made foil potatoes and cheesy broccoli as sides. Afterwards, my triple chocolate cupcakes were a success! They were fudge boxed cake with homemade chocolate whipped frosting and filled with a chocolate ganache I made. My dad's house is starting to feel like home again, which was really nice. My mom and I are going to watch a movie before bed. It's been a great day!

February 19th

Today, again, was a lot but a really good day. My dad made steak breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy for breakfast which were delicious. While he was cooking, my mom, brother, and I watched Encanto. Then my mom, dad, and I hung out while my brother got ready and left for work. After I got ready, I took my brother's girlfriend to the mall for a little bit before she had to be back home. Then I took myself shopping for a little while. It was nice to just be with myself for a while and shop. After shopping, I picked up a couple of tacos and went back to my dad's to eat. After my brother got off work and my dad got home, we decided to go bowling. We met a friend of my dad's, and we all had a ton of fun. I hadn't been bowling in so long, and I was a little rusty. In the end, I beat my brother and that's all that matters. We didn't get back home until pretty late. It was another good day!

February 20th

This morning, my dad, his friend, and I went to breakfast. My brother wasn't feeling great, so he stayed home. After, I went to pick up Riley and see his family. We went to the mall for a minute before we grabbed my stuff from my dad's and left town. The roads were much better this time. When we got back, Riley stayed home to unpack while I went to the grocery store. I also stopped to see my mom for a minute. We had leftover steaks for dinner and hung out. This weekend was really great, and I'm already missing my family. It's been a good day though!
