Daily Journals

This page features the daily journals I have kept throughout this project. Each one, here, is the typed version of what I originally wrote that day. I have also included some keywords at the bottom of each entry, so you can easily see what they mention as well as what I often talked about in my journals. You can see these keywords by clicking on the journal entry.

I talked to my classes today about my projects, and I passed out candy with QR codes to share my website even farther. I am 1 away from 100 visitors to my website. I am thrilled with how far it has gone, and how many people have been impacted already. My defense is on Friday, and I'm just about done with my classes for the semester. I'm starting to get anxious to be done, but I'm also excited to see the project grow even after the semester is done.

We hit 100 visitors!!! I know this wasn’t a requirement for my project, but it was a personal goal of mine to meet 100 visitors before my defense. That number is also only unique visitors, and my visitor counter stopped counting at the end of April, so it should be higher. The total number of visits to the website is 591! I’m super excited!

Tonight, I went to dinner with a friend, which is a lot of fun! It was nice to catch up and talk now that the semester is just about over. When I got home, I wrote some notes for my defense then I got comfy and watched a cooking show. I'm starting a movie now, so I can hopefully fall asleep to it. Wish me luck on my defense tomorrow!

I had my defense this morning! It went super well! I was beyond nervous leading up to it, but it felt great being able to talk about my project. We talked a lot about my experience and what I've learned, but we also discussed social media as a whole. From my defense, I learned a lot about how this project has the potential to be built from. More research could come from my experiment whether I do it or someone else is inspired to. I passed my defense, and I'm beyond grateful for this entire experience. Thank you to my advisors, partner, friends, and family for helping me through this project. Thank you to everyone who has visited my website for helping me prove that this entire experience was more than a school project. The semester may be over, and my project may be turned in, but I don't see this ending anytime soon.
